A PUBLIC meeting called to discuss plans for a telecommunications mast on a Hartlepool pub has been cancelled.
The meeting, which was due to take place at Hartlepool Civic Centre, was called off after phone firm Hutchinson 3G said the pub no longer wanted to go ahead with the plans.
The mast had been earmarked for the Pink Domino pub, in Catcote Road. Planning permission was granted in June but work could not start until Hartlepool Borough Council consent was given under a covenant governing the site.
Hutchinson 3G will now be asked to confirm that the request for consent had been withdrawn.
