YOBS bent on causing trouble at a bank holiday football match are being told to think again by a town's police chief.
Superintendent Dave Horner, head of operations in Hartlepool, says his officers will be "robustly policing'' Monday's home game between Hartlepool and Hull to make sure real fans can enjoy the match free from hooligans.
The warning comes in the wake of arrests following problems at the season's opening away match with Carlisle.
Several arrests were made for disorder and drunkenness, with follow-up arrests made in Hartlepool.
Superintendent Horner said: "Hartlepool is a family club with a good reputation and we want to protect it from this minority group whose only goal is trouble and violence."
