DARTS players hope to hit the bullseye with an end-of-season charity night, which is becoming a regular annual fixture.
Tickets are selling well for Durham and District Ladies' darts team charity night, at Ushaw Moor Catholic Club, on Thursday, September 5.
The event, staged for the fourth year running, is in aid of St Cuthbert's Hospice, Durham.
Last year's event raised £2,000 and, with a well-supported raffle, organisers are hoping to at least match that figure this year.
Three club entertainers are giving their services free and there will also be a tombola, bingo and refreshments.
Raffle prizes include tickets for a medieval banquet at Lumley Castle, and several meals for two at other hotels.
Tickets are available from the organiser, Lil Sowerby, treasurer of Ushaw Moor Catholic Club darts team, on 0191-373 0285, or at the door, for £1.50.
Ms Sowerby thanked the local businesses who have supported the event by donating prizes.
"Virtually without exception, they have all been glad to help and we're appreciative of their support," she said.
The event, at the club in Durham Road, Ushaw Moor, starts at 7.30pm.
