ARTIST Derek Mosey hopes his latest work will grow on visitors to a seaside town.
He has created several willow sculptures around the Victorian resort of Saltburn in east Cleveland. His work includes a horse and cart, a fisherman and a Victorian man and woman. Vandals have already struck at the sculpture of the couple, which is on the sea front, and urgent repairs are now being carried out. Local schoolchildren helped Mr Mosey, who held a couple of workshop sessions to teach youngsters how to weave willow.
