A GROUP promoting morality without religion is staging an exhibition about its work.
North-East Humanists will mount the exhibition in the foyer of Newcastle Central Library from tomorrow, for two weeks.
It will include information about the group, a history of humanism and displays about the secular ceremonies that North-East Humanists offer, including the naming of babies, celebrations of marriage and funerals.
Many members have contributed to the display, which has been organised and designed by Jacqueline Bell of Blanchland.
North-East Humanists chairman, Professor Colin Gallagher, said: "We wanted to tell North-East people what humanism is all about, and the central library, which is used by so many people, seemed the best place to do that."
