A PROGRAMME of community events and activities has been lined up to help mark the end of summer.
Fun for all the family is on the cards, with face painting, bouncy castles, live music, information stands, raffles, tombolas and more.
The events will be held in community centres in Darlington during the next few weeks.
Darlington Borough Council's community safety and youth offending team has organised the events with help from the Home Office's community cohesion fund.
The first will be at Redhall Community Centre on Saturday, from 2pm to 10pm, followed on Monday, at Branksome Community Centre from 11am to 3pm.
On Saturday, September 14, a third event will be held at Firthmoor Community Centre, between 10am and 3pm, with a fourth the next day at Skerne Park Community Centre, the times of which are to be confirmed.
These events follow a Kahlsa day, which was held on Sunday at the Dolphin Centre to help promote a better understanding of the local Sikh and community.
There will also be an Islamic Awareness Day on Sunday, September 8, at the council's Central House annex in Gladstone Street.
