A road safety booklet is being delivered to every home in Darlington this week.
Around and About in Darlington, a "colourful, informative and accessible guide" to all aspects of the subject has been produced by Darlington Borough Council's road safety officer Norma Sheppard.
It features information about road safety, school crossing patrols, new pedestrian crossings, guidance on safe parking - particularly near schools - and advice on child car seats.
There are sections on cycle training courses, competitions, a selection of poems by local children and helpful phone numbers and website addresses.
Anybody who has not received a copy by Friday, September 6 can contact the council's road safety team on (01325) 388717.
