ALL eyes were on the skies yesterday for some death-defying feats at the Yorkshire Air Show.
The high-flying wing-walking glamour girls of the Utterly Butterly Barnstormers had necks craning to the heavens in one of the highlights of the event at Elvington, near York.
As well as action in the air, there was plenty to see on the ground, with a large number of static displays. Attractions in the sky included acrobatic displays, by the Yakovlevs Display Team and Khalifa Jet Team, as well as fly-pasts by a Panavia Tornado F3 and Hawker Hunter F.58A.
And there was plenty of nostalgia with a flypast by a P-51 D Mustang to the accompaniment of Glenn Miller music and old show favourite the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight/
