A TEENAGER is one step closer to her dream career as a barrister after landing an impressive set of GCSE results.
Rebecca Khan, a pupil at the Tudhoe Grange Comprehensive School, gained eight A* and three A grades.
The 16-year-old, of Mayfields, Spennymoor, will now study English literature, history, psychology and law at Queen Elizabeth Sixth College, Darlington. She then hopes to study law at university and eventually become a barrister.
John Yeomans, acting headteacher, said: "We've improved on last year across the board and 49.7per cent of the year group gained five or more A8 to C grades. It's a credit to the hard work of students and staff that we've had this success."
