A SERIES of guided walks around Darlington starts next month.
Twelve informative walks will take place between September and November.
Guides will talk about everything from the history of headstones to the Darlington and Stockton railway.
A guided tour of Cockerton will allow walkers to learn more about one of Darlington's old villages, and another walk will tour the town's historic yards.
The first walk starts on Saturday, September 7, at 2pm, at the main gates of South Park, where visitors can learn about the proposals for its future.
Most of the walks are suitable for wheelchair users and are being organised by Darlington Borough Council.
For more information and a leaflet call (01325) 380651.
Walks are £2 for adults, and £1 for people over 60 and children.
