Dogs from the North-East that help disabled owners with day-to-day life are being celebrated in a special event.
The Dogs for the Disabled charity, which trains dogs to help people open and close doors, pick up dropped items and even take laundry out of the washing machine, is holding an event next Thursday.
Dogs which have been successfully trained and settled in with their new owners will have a special "graduation" ceremony. One dog, Anton, from Darlington, will graduate among other dogs from all over the region and the UK.
