DOG owners from across the region are being encouraged to join in a fun day this weekend,
The Yorkshire Terrier Rescue and Rehoming charity in the North-East is hosting a fundraising tea party on Sunday to promote its work.
Owners of small dogs from throughout the North-East and North Yorkshire are invited to join in the event, at the Grange, in Hurworth, near Darlington.
There will be shows and competitions for the dogs to enter including prettiest dog and waggiest tails as well as an agility and obedience test.
Specialist breeders will be taking some more unusual dogs to the show and veterinary nurses will be on hand to give animals the once-over.
There will also be a variety of stalls and games.
Anyone interested in small dogs or the work of the charity is welcome to attend.
Events at Hurworth Grange will run from 10am until 4pm.
