A YOUNG collie is looking for a new home after its owners' relationship broke up.
Sam, a one-year-old Border collie crossbreed, needs energetic owners to take it for regular walks.
The dog is being looked after by foster carers in Darlington under the umbrella of the National Animal Sanctuaries Support League.
Pauline Wilson, of the league, said: "He is full of life, a really lovely dog and he has a really nice nature.
"Whoever takes him will need to be prepared to exercise him because he needs a good run every day.
"He loves playing with a ball and is a really fun-loving dog.
"He is a true character and will bring a lot of pleasure into a home."
Anyone interested in adopting Sam should phone Pauline Wilson.
