AN exhibition outlining proposals to improve traffic management in Richmond will be unveiled next Friday.
Various options will be explained to give local people an opportunity to comment.
North Yorkshire county council has worked with the district and town councils and other organisations to draw up several possibilities for improving traffic flow and safety.
Leaflets describing the options and questionnaires will be delivered to all households and businesses in the town before the town hall exhibition opens.
Councillor Oliver Blease, county councillor for Richmond, urged the community to take time to visit the display, study the proposals and complete and return a questionnaire.
Councillor Peter Sowray, the council's executive member for environmental services, said: "The results of the public consultation will guide the county council strategy for Richmond and this is the opportunity for local people to have their say."
The exhibition is open noon to 6pm next Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturday, with staff on hand to answer queries and explain proposals, and 10am to 4pm from Monday to Thursday, September 9 to 12, unstaffed. The consultation will be taken into account when recommendations are made to the county council's Richmondshire area committee later in the year.
