A LOCAL man has been appointed as the general manager of a new supermarket in Redcar.
Paul Lee, 35, will take charge of the Morrisons Supermarket which is due to open in November.
More than 3,000 people applied for 350 jobs at the supermarket and most positions have now been filled.
Mr Lee has worked for Morrisons since 1992, but continued to live in his home town of Redcar even while working for stores in Darlington and Scarborough.
"As a local lad I am absolutely thrilled to be taking up this position," he said.
