Dean Bank A upset the Championship party of the visiting Sherburn with a four points victory.
Despite the defeat Sherburn are still the League Champions, having beaten Spennymoor A by four points. The rink scores (Dean Bank names first) were K. Thompson 18 R. Smith 24; G. Allen 23 K. McDonald 18; A. Webber 23 T. Burt 7.
Shildon Railway A pulled out all the stops on their visit to Durham City to try to land the Second Division title. The railwaymen won by a maximum but still failed to take the title as Leeholme beat the visiting Belmont to take top spot by a single point. The rink scores at Durham City, with the home team names first, were K. Oliver 16 F. Edwards 22; A. Coulson 17 A. Fryatt 19; N. Smith 13 F. Wilson 28. In the Third Division Shildon Town only need to points from their final match to take the title as they share the top spot with Cockton Hill B, who have completed their programme, and lead Addison Park by seven points.

CIU Pairs Championship
The results of the semi-finals were R. French & T. Brown (Horden) lost to N. Evans & M. Tomkins (Ferryhill Station) and M. Fenwick & P. Davies (Brandon) beat G. Robson & P. Coulson (Leadgate). The Final will be played at Vane Tempest Bowling Green, Durham.
