Chester-le-Street romped to a 9-0 victory when they visited Cleveland Hall and the game was a personal triumph for Daniel Graham who struck five goals.
Two of the sides, Walker Central and Redheugh, found the net on seven occasions. Walker Central defeated Prudhoe 7-0 with strikes from Scott McDonald (3), Paul Mills (2) and Tony Ross (2).
Despite scoring four goals away from home, Whitley Bay still lost 7-4 at Redheugh whose scorers were Chris Laws with a hat-trick and Mark Heron and Steve Richardson who both bagged a brace of goals. Colin Laws (2), Michael Robinson and John Dunn replied for Whitley Bay.
After trailing by a goal at the interval West Denton finished 3-2 in front of New Hartley. Andrew Brunsdon, Tony Murray and Paul Jones netted for the home side with Scott Blandford and Curtis Taylor on the mark for New Hartley.
