A WOMAN who fled to a friend's after an attack by her partner had to spend a night in hospital because of her injuries, Harrogate magistrates were told.
David James Berry pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm to Elizabeth Anne Cowan at their home in King Edward's Drive, Harrogate, on July 7. He was remanded on bail until September 18 to enable probation reports to be prepared prior to sentencing.
Court chairman Nancy Scruton told Berry, 35, who is now living in Hill Top Rise, Bilton, Harrogate, he must have no contact with Ms Cowan in the meantime and must not go within 400 yards of her home.
