TALENTED Andrew Turner is proving that musical ability runs in the family as he prepares to follow his brother to a top school.
The 11-year-old, from Hornby, near Northallerton, has won a place at the prestigious Chethams School of Music, in Manchester, after impressing judges at his audition.
Andrew, who plays the French horn, will be joining his older brother, Christopher, at the school, where he will receive a full academic education, specialising in music.
Andrew, who has been playing the French horn for two years, is part of the national children's orchestra and receives financial support from Sowerby Music.
His proud mother, Rhi Turner, said: "Music is really a family thing. He appears to be following in his brother's footsteps and their music has given them some great opportunities.
