A proposed cycle path at York's new tennis centre could become the focus of drug-users, say objectors.
Walmgate Neighbourhood Forum, University of York Students' Union and Woodlands Respite Care Home have all objected to the route ahead of a decision being made next week by City of York Council's planning committee.
Road closure: Motorists are warned of the temporary closure of Mill Lane, Romanby, for bridge inspection work, on Sunday, September 8, between 7.30am and 4.30pm. An alternative route will operate. Pedestrian access remains.
New showroom: A new vehicle showroom and workshop is to be built in Northallerton. Members of Hambleton planning committee approved an outline application for the development of a 0.4-hectare site on land at the junction of the new industrial estate road and Darlington Road.
MP's surgery: York MP Hugh Bayley is holding a surgery for constituents at Gateway Church Hall, Acomb, tomorrow, from 10am until noon. No appointment is necessary.
Bowls invite: Coxwold carpet bowls club starts its new season on Monday, at 7pm, in the village hall. The first event will be an open night which anyone interested in joining the club is invited to attend.
