A VENERABLE North Yorkshire building is being opened to the public next month.
Osmotherley's Friends Meeting House will be on show as part of Heritage Open Days organised by the Civic Trust.
Osmotherley is well known as the starting point for the Lyke Wake Walk, but the simple building, which is the meeting house is less so. Built in 1723, it is tucked away behind houses up a winding path in West End, looking out to hills from its vantage point.
The Quaker Meeting House is used for worship each month and also provides comfortable accommodation for families and groups. The open days are September 14 and 15 admission is free.
