A RECRUITMENT drive by Darlington Association on Disability attracted 50 volunteers to help at a playscheme for disabled children and young people.
The organisation has been able to provide five play schemes for about 150 disabled youngsters.
FAMILY FUN: Spennymoor Community Learning is hosting a family fun day as part of the open air music event in the town today. Visitors are welcome from 11am to 3pm.
HOME CARE: The drop-in service for carers in Darlington has moved to the Friends Meeting House, Skinnergate. Carers can use the service on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. For details call (01325) 357533.
GIVE BLOOD: A session for blood donations is being held at the church and Masonic Hall, Church Lane, Wolsingham, on Tuesday, between 3.15pm and 7pm.

OPEN ALLOTMENTS: An open day and barbecue is being held at South Church Lane Allotments, near Bishop Auckland, tomorrow, from 1pm to 4pm.
MATHS SUCCESSES: Four students of the Darlington Kumon Study Centre for After School Maths Tuition successfully passed maths GCSE examinations. Dominic Rae got an A*, Susanna Heath and Matthew Wright A grades and Lisa Maddison a B grade.
SUPPORT GROUP: A support group for separated and divorced people is starting at St Herbert's Church, Darlington, on Friday, at 7.30pm. For details call (01325) 382860.
