A CHARITY is preparing for its annual dash to Dublin.
Marie Curie Cancer Care's seventh Dublin Dash takes place on September 20, and volunteers are still welcome to sign up for the fun weekend.
Teams of between two and four, dressed in silly clothes, will have 24 hours to get from the Old Farmhouse Inn, near Darlington, to Dublin.
All the money raised will help to fund Marie Curie nursing services in the North-East.
Each team will be marked on their fancy dress, the forms of transport used, the least expensive route taken, as well as a final mystery physical challenge, after completing a series of challenges along the way.
The winner will be announced at a Dublin Dash 2002 Award ceremony. Competitors will be welcomed to Dublin with anl Irish ceilidh.
To take part in the event, telephone 0191-382 3311.
