THE backstage workings of a historic theatre were revealed to the public over the weekend, before a major new production.
Harrogate Theatre opened its doors to provide a series of backstage tours, as well as face-painting and dressing-up activities for youngsters.
Visitors were able to see props being made on the famous old stage and were also given an insight into what is involved in set design.
The theatre's artistic director, Rob Swain, also staged an open rehearsal and actors' workshop in the studio, as well as giving a sneak preview of a forthcoming production, Up on the Roof.
