THE hit television programme It's A Knockout made a brief return as part of a North Yorkshire carnival.
Members of Northallerton- charity Chopsticks fielded a team for the contest and raised £240 towards a new building.
The team won fourth prize and the fancy dress title in the Northallerton Carnival event.
But because another team kindly donated their prize money to Chopsticks, the total was increased.
"We want this new building and we want to help raise the cash for it," said Alan Jenner, who works in the workshop of Chopsticks, which helps people with learning disabilities.
Mr Jenner, who had dropped out of the team due to a back strain, found himself back in the side when fellow member Mabel Murray had a fall during one of the races.
He joined Lesley Elders, Paul McGee, Mark Gracey, Miles Shepherd and Brandon Clarkson - son of a member of staff - for the challenge.
Chopsticks treasurer Jean Tennant said: "It is great when our learning disability members show their enthusiasm in such a way. They are equal partners in our enterprise and definitely pull their weight. They all enjoyed the day and are rightly proud to have raised so much money."
