TODDLERS' GROUP: The Toddlers' Group at Glenhome Youth and Community Centre starts next Monday, from 9.30am to 11.30am, with a further session every Wednesday.

LEEK SHOW: The Green Tree pub, in Howden-le-Wear, holds a leek show on Saturday and Sunday. Exhibits will be auctioned on Sunday, at 9pm.
ORGAN RECITAL: Crook and Weardale Choral Singers are promoting an organ recital by George Chittenden, assistant organists at Aberdeen Cathedral. The event takes place at St Thomas' Church, Stanley, on Thursday, September 12, at 7.30pm.
THANK YOU: At the last meeting of the Howden-le-Wear Neighbourhood Watch, Mrs Frances Emmerson, on behalf of Hargill Haven Bungalows residents, presented Betty Wood with a gift for her work and support while in her voluntary capacity as Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator in the village.
