POLICE are appealing for information after a car was stolen from a driveway in Teesdale.
The blue Ford Fiesta, registration K548 GWE, was taken in the early hours of Sunday, from Luke Lane, Butterknowle. Anyone with information is asked to contact Barnard Castle Police, on (01833) 637328.
WHIST DRIVE: Kirk Merrington Over 60s club will hold a whist and domino drive in the village hall on Saturday, at 2pm. Admission costs £1 and includes refreshments.

UNCLAIMED TICKET: One ticket remains unclaimed from a raffle drawn at the St Luke's Church coffee morning, in Ferryhill, on Saturday. The winning number is 261, with the reference number 829748. Anyone with that ticket can claim their prize from any member of the town's Catholic Women's Guild.
SETTING STANDARDS : A meeting of Sedgefield Borough Council's standards committee will be held tomorrow in the council offices, Green Lane, Spennymoor, at 2pm.
NEARLY NEW: St Paul's Church, Spennymoor, has a nearly new and rummage sale in the parish hall next Tuesday, at 7pm. Admission costs 10p. A weekly nearly new sale is on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 11.30am.
YOGA CLASSES: Yoga classes begin at Romaldkirk Reading Room this evening, at 7pm. Classes are also being held at the High Force Hotel from 7.30pm to 8pm. Beginners are welcome to both. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to bring a mat and wear loose clothing.
