Richmond YMCA launches a community shop and weekly lottery on Thursday, when town mayor Stuart Parsons is on hand to perform the ceremony.
The shop will raise money for the organisations work in the town, particularly the development of a skateboard park and redevelopment of the charity's Market Place headquarters.
Lottery players be able to win up to 1,000 in prizes and entry forms are available from the shop.
Ken Allison, Richmond YMCA chief executive, said: "We are entering an exciting time in the life of the YMCA in Richmond. Fund raising for the skatepark is on-going and we are beginning to put the funding package in place for the redevelopment of the YMCA building.
"The community shop and lottery are crucial elements of out future strategy. It is important to stress that all funding raised will be used locally for the benefit of young people."
Anyone wishing to donate goods to the shop or work as a volunteer should tel 01748 824142.
