THIS year's Sedgefield Garden Open Day proved so popular that many visitors had problems finding a parking space.
More than 300 visitors viewed 11 gardens and ended the afternoon with a cream tea at the home of Sedgefield in Bloom bloom secretary Sue Hannan.
She said: "We had a great day, raised £1,000 for bloom funds and ran out of scones."
The money will be divided between Sedgefield in Bloom, Macmillan Nurses and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
