A FORMER museum which has been empty for several years may finally be reopened as a snooker club.
Plans have been submitted to transform the former Museum Of Automata, in Tower Street, York, into a members-only snooker club.
Officials are recommending approval of the scheme - although the club's closing time has been cut back from 3am to 11.30pm and 11pm on Sundays following objections from local residents.
