A COLLEGE'S satellite campus was celebrating its third birthdaywith a special guest yesterday.
Darlington College of Technology marked three years of learning at its Catterick campus by inviting Dylan Morgan-Beattie to celebrate his third birthday with them.
The Catterick site opened in response to the need for courses for Army personnel and their children.
The college continues its close association with the Army, but wants to remind local people that the Catterick centre is open to other members of the community.
As well as computer courses and on-line learning, new courses offered by the college this year include childcare and education, advanced nail technology, Indian head massage, web page design, and the travel agents' certificate.
As part of its birthday celebrations, the college will hold an open day on Saturday for members of the local community to find out more about the courses and facilities.
There will be a number of events taking place on the day including a design a hat competition in the childcare centre, beer tasting run by the Campaign for Real Ale, and a balloon release, carried out by Richmond MP William Hague.
