POLICE are appealing to a 26-year-old woman who has gone missing from home to get in touch.
Bernadette Ryan, of Crescent Road, Middlesbrough, was last seen leaving her sister's house in the town at about 10pm on Friday.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "Her family are anxious for her to get in touch as they believe she may be in an emotional state and it is out of character for her." Miss Ryan is about 5ft 7in, of medium build, with mousy brown hair. She was last seen wearing a cream denim jacket and white Umbro T-shirt. She is asked to contact PC David Moore on (01642) 303126.
MAN REMANDED: A 21-year-old man appeared before York Crown Court yesterday on charges relating to a forklift vehicle that was involved in a police chase through the streets of the city. Raymond Anthony Wilson, of no fixed address, is accused of taking the vehicle without consent and faces three charges of causing criminal damage to police and civilian vehicles, and being reckless as to whether life would be endangered. His case was adjourned until November 4 and he was remanded in custody.
A66 CRASH: A lorry and a car were involved in a collision on the notorious A66 cross-Pennine route yesterday. Firefighters and an ambulance were called to the scene of the crash, at Greta Bridge, near Barnard Castle, just before 4pm. No one was injured.
ANNIVERSARY CONCERT: The Bowes Museum, in Barnard Castle, County Durham, will host a golden anniversary concert tomorrow, at 7.30pm. FARM FIRE: Firefighters were called to Scaife House, on the Staindrop to Middleton-in-Teesdale road, shortly after 3.30pm yesterday, to extinguish a fire which started in a bailing machine.

WILDLIFE TALK: An acclaimed zoologist is visiting the North-East to give a talk on wildlife later this month. BUDGERIGARS SALE: Some off the region's most sought-after birds are to be auctioned this weekend. The Northern Budgerigar Society holds a sale of birds and equipment in the community centre, Bowburn, County Durham, on Sunday, at 2.30pm. Bidding generally starts at about £5 a budgie, but the top birds can fetch up to £80.Society secretary Roy Cooke said: "It is getting near the start of the breeding season and it is an opportunity for people to pick up a good bird."
MASK designs: An exhibition of masks, created by designers and artists from across the world, will be held at Middlesbrough's Cleveland Craft Centre from September 14 to November 9.
