A COLLEGE'S satellite campus celebrated its third birthday yesterday.
Darlington College of Technology marked three years of learning at its Catterick campus by inviting Dylan Morgan-Beattie in to celebrate his third birthday by cutting a cake.
The Catterick site opened in response to the need for courses for Army personnel and their children.
The college continues its close association with the Army, but wants to remind local people that the Catterick centre is open to the community as well.
As well as computer courses and online learning, courses offered this year include childcare and education, advanced nail technology, Indian head massage, web page design and the travel agents' certificate.
The college will hold an open day on Saturday, when events will include a competition to design a hat, beer tasting run by the Campaign for Real Ale, and a balloon release, set off by Richmond MP William Hague.
