PARENTS wanting to guide their children towards the benefits of the Internet and away from its potential dangers are invited to join a new short course.
A Parent's Guide to the Internet is just one of a wide variety of short courses on offer at Sunderland University this autumn, for people keen to widen their horizons.
Course leader Matthew Duncanson-Hunter said: "This is a new course which aims to show parents that by setting down sensible guidelines they can help their children to learn from, and enjoy, the Internet in safety.
"We hope teachers and grandparents will also take up this opportunity to find out more about the Internet."
The course runs for two hours per week and lasts five weeks.
