A TEACHER training programme launched on Tuesday has attracted students from all walks of life - including a bank manager, a probation officer and a lorry driver.
A group of 15 graduates have given up their jobs to take part in the year-long primary school teacher scheme, run by Redcar and Cleveland Council.
They will be based at different schools in the borough for four days a week and will spend a day each week studying at Guisborough Education Development Centre.
The council is already planning next year's course and application forms will be available from October by calling (01642) 444186.
