South West Durham League: Shildon Town A were relegated last year but they have bounced right back to earn promotion to the first division.

The first division title will go once again to Spennymoor A though their game at Brandon was postponed.

Division Two: Spennymoor Town 2 Bishop Auckland 8; Shildon Town A 10 Cockfield 0; Wolsingham 8 Kelloe 2; Cockton Hill B 2 Langley Park 8; Fishburn 8 Shildon Town B 2.

SWD Veterans Knockout: Shildon Railway A continued their fine winning run when they celebrated their promotion from the Second Division as the runners-up by beating the First Division champions, Sherburn in the Final played at Spennymoor.

The Shildon team came through to win by 52 shots to 47.

Darlington Veterans League: South Park failed to stop Brinkburn Dene completing the league and knockout double, losing on all three rinks in the Harrison Cup Final.

With the league title settled, attention switched to the other end of the league with the RA now in a fight with Hundens and Barnard Castle to avoid the drop to the B Division.

Woodland B are now clear favourites to win the B Division title after North Lodge slipped up badly against Middleton-St-George.

Durham and District League: The League Finals Day will be held at Vane Tempest Green, Gilesgate, Durham City tomorrow.

The Tom McNamara Triples Championship will begin at 10.30am between I. Hudson, B. Slinn and R. Hindson of Neville Cross against A. Dunn, D. Chard and A. Bainbridge of Crook Glenholme.

The remainder of the Finals will be played at 2pm. The Durham Hospital Cup will be between R. Presho, A. Healer and W. Hughes of Wingate against M. English, A. Lyes and E. Calvert of Ever Ready/Craghead.

Durham League Singles Championship Final will be between Jason Moore of Belmont and Jason Taylor of Leeholme. The Marshall Yates Mixed Pairs Championship Final is between Mrs A. Coulson and A.E. Coulson of King George V against Mrs.J. Rutter and F. Tulip of Langley Park.

League Rinks Championship will be between: A. Duun, D. Chard, R. Bibby and D. McDonald of Crook Glenholme) against V. Simpson, M. Convery, V. Thompson and T. Leathers of Sherburn Village. The Men's Pairs Championship will result be a walk-over for D. McDonald & and R. Bibby of Crook Glenholme because V. Simpson and A. Twist of Sherburn Village are unable to play
