Lanchester King's Head lifted themselves up to third place in the table after they won the decider in their re-arranged home game against Tow Law Football Club.

The King's made a great start when they took the first three singles point through Harry Wales, Graeme Fairish and Malcolm Clarke but the footballers levelled with wins from Arthur Henderson, Jim Day and Keith Muse.

The King's went back into the lead when Ronnie Minto and Harry Wales took the first doubles only to see Terry Ginty and Jim Day equalise by winning the second doubles. In the decider the King's went to victory when Malcolm Clarke and Dave Wales beat Keith Muse and Arthur Henderson.

Tow Law Dan's Castle A lead the table by five points from Tow Law North Point, who are seven points ahead of Lanchester King's Head.
