CIU League: Ferryhill were denied another Pool Championship when they dropped two points to the visiting Middlestone Moor, thus forcing a play off against Cockton Hill, who only dropped one point to Crook Belle Vue.
Middlestone Moor came with a frame of even denying Ferryhill a place off place but they eventually went down in the decider. Steve Webster put Ferryhill ahead but Steve Lightfoot levelled. Gary Taylor restored the home lead only to see Gary Robinson equalise. In the decider Ferryhill's Steve Wray beat John Snowball to not only force a play-off but to also take the Individual Pool Player of the Year for Pip Samson of Crook Belle Vue lost at Cockton Hill.
In the darts section Crook Belle Vue went down to their first defeat of the season when they lost by the odd point at Cockton Hill in a top of the table clash. Despite the defeat Crook Belle Vue took the title by eight points with their hosts taking the runners-up spot. Cockton Hill had wins from Ray Scott, Tommy Ward, Kevin Spensley and Robert Douthwaite, whilst Crook replied through Gordon Dodds, Jeff Sneath and Brian Lauder.
During the final week there were darts maximums for Tony Nixon of Ferryhill and Dave Harrison of Chilton, whilst Kevin Spensley of Cockton Hill hit two. Alan Clarkson hit a twelve darts finish.
Despite losing at Byers Green, Chilton took the dominoes title by one point when they took two out of their hosts. The Green had wins from Andrew Dargue, Trevor Kerr and Brian Hardy whilst Chilton took their first point through George Bell and then took the vital second point, which they needed for the title when Jimmy Pearson beat Malcolm McDonald.

Willington Ladies League: Ithe top of the table clash in the dominoes section, Willington Burn maintained their unbeaten record with an odd point victory over the visiting Sunnybrow Brown Trout, who arrived as the leaders, but left in third place as their hosts were joined at the top by Willington Cottles, who whitewashed the visiting Willington Black Horse B.
There was also a change at the top of the darts section when the two teams from Willington Club changed places after the B team won by three points. This leaves them two points ahead of their A team, with Willington Burn and Sunnybrow Brown Trout sharing the third place, a further point adrift.

Tow Law Cup: Hamilton Row Black Horse pulled off a very good victory when they visited Tow Law North Point and came through for the loss of only six points, having reached their target of nine points with two matches left unplayed. The Horse set up their victory with some fine performances on the pool table where they had singles wins from Chris Ellis, Ray Routledge, Derek Graham and John Henderson with the Point replying through Gary Watson and Colin Armstrong.
The Horse also edged further ahead by taking three of the dominoes singles through Pat Elliott, John Christelow and John Henderson, whilst the Point had wins from Paul Graham and Colin Armstrong. The home side stayed in the match by taking the first two pool doubles but the visitors clinched their victory when they took the first two dominoes doubles.
Tow Law Dan's Castle A were the biggest quarter finals winners when their hosts at Tow Law Cattle Mart only managed three points when Marc Williams won a dominoes singles and Alan Ogilvie won both dominoes and pool singles.
