DUTCH police yesterday announced there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the missing North-East woman who fell overboard from a ferry.

Tanya Little, 40, of Gosforth, Newcastle, plunged 60ft from the top deck of the Queen of Scandinavia ferry bound for Amsterdam, at about 2.25am on Wednesday.

The accident happened about 55 miles off the Norfolk coast.

The ferry, a DFDS service from Tyneside, was involved in a fruitless search for Ms Little, but later resumed its journey to the port Ijmuiden, in Holland.

Officers boarded the vessel on Wednesday afternoon at the request of its captain and quizzed the crew and passengers, but yesterday wound up their investigation.
