A CENTRE which supports carers has been relaunched.
The centre in Shildon, an outreach branch of the Princess Royal Trust Sedgefield Locality Carers Centre, has been open for five years.
It held an open day yesterday to boost its profile.
Councillor John Moran, portfolio holder for supporting people at Sedgefield Borough Council, performed the re-opening ceremony at the centre, in Garbutt Close.
Shirley Bell, who works for the Princess Royal Trust Sedgefield Locality Carers Centre, based in Newton Aycliffe, said: "We are trying to get more people who are carers, or who used to be carers, involved in the Shildon group."
