PEOPLE are invited to experience the taste of Yorkshire served up by a tearoom at a National Trust property.
As part of the Yorkshire Food Fayre, set up by Yorkshire's Great Houses, Castles and Gardens consortium, the tearooms at Nunnington Hall, near Helmsley, are serving traditional Yorkshire delights until September 15. They will be offering farmhouse ham and eggs and a Daleman's platter, a tasty selection of the best Yorkshire cheeses.
Catering manager Dorothy Ruddick said: "We have tried to offer two very different dishes to reflect the quality of Yorkshire food.
"Farmhouse ham and eggs is a traditional and ever-popular Yorkshire dish, while our Daleman's platter gives visitors a chance to taste some of Yorkshire's finest cheeses."
Taylors of Harrogate is sponsoring the event at Nunnington and a free sample of Yorkshire Tea will be given to anyone who participates.
Nunnington Hall property manager Simon Lee said: "Many events across Yorkshire are taking place as part of the Yorkshire Food Fayre. They are held at different properties all with different things on offer."
The traditional dishes are served at Nunnington Hall's tearooms from Wednesday to Sunday, between 12.30pm and 4pm.
