NORTH Yorkshire "singing ambulanceman" Chris Myers has composed a catchy little number to boost the spirits of foot-weary colleagues who have been tackling a 190-mile charity walk.
Non-emergency ambulanceman Mr Myers, who is 27, has been shadowing colleagues on the Coast-to-Coast walk in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
He said: "The song is called It's In The Air. I spent a lot of time talking to the paramedic crews before I wrote the lyrics and I provide my own accompaniment on the banjo.
"It might not make it on to Top of the Pops but most people really seem to enjoy joining in."
Mr Myers has been doing a series of fund-raising gigs along the route from St Bees in Cumbria as the walkers trekked to their final destination - Robin Hood's Bay - today.
Along the way, the party has stopped off in places such as Hawes, Richmond and Northallerton where the air ambulance has been on show and entertainment provided.
Anyone interested in supporting the Yorkshire Air Ambulance should contact fund-raising manager John Everson on 07764 906 515.
