As the league starts it's 13th season Kevin Elliott scored an own goal, grabbed a goal and got man of the match as Metro Church Sunderland scored with the last kick off the match to steal a 3 -2 win at Airport Church.

Andrew Roberts put Airport 1-0 ahead. Ryan Pender equalised for Metro than Elliott put Airport in front with an own goal and a 2-1 lead. Second half Elliott equalised with a header from a free kick. In the dying seconds David Dawson beat the offside trap to take all three points and remain unbeaten after three matches.

Also unbeaten are Monkwearmouth Christians 0-0 at half time against Ryton Churches, Rob McLean and Steve Dix gave Monkwearmouth a 2-0 win.

The two goalkeepers Ian McIver and Martin Taylor got man of the match for their respective sides as Jesmond Parish and Lanchester Chapel drew 0-0.

At Bethshan Christian Centre and Consett Methodist Church it was goals galore. Mark Thomas and Jon Connop put Bethshan 2-0 ahead Neil James pulled a goal back for Consett. Andrew Allister Stretched Bethshan Lead to 3-1 before half time Kieron young pulled it back to 3-2. In the second half Martin Kay made it 4-2 then a double from Richard Steele and a strike from David Cook put Consett 5-4 in front then at the death Chris Thompson popped up to square the match 5-5 and a share of the points.

On the coast the match was tied 0-0 after 45 minutes Whitley Bay broke the ice through Greg Noble he also stretched the lead to 2-0 Terry Mallon pulled a goal back for Saint Peter's Low Fell Paul Lewis and Railton Brookes put Bay ahead 4-1 with Mallon collecting his second goal final, score 4-2.

In Division Two Jesmond kept their 100 per cent record going into a 5-1 lead after 45 minutes. Jason Alexander and Keith Chambers scored a pair each with a strike from Mark Davison. Sam Storey netting for Whitley Bay Baptist Church. Martin Smith got the final goal in Athenians 6-1 win.

Also with a 100 per cent so far Middlesbrough Baptists hosted new boys City Church Newcastle with Matt Hodge opening the scoring before the break. Adam Hodge, David Dixon and Gary Jackson gave Middlesbrough a 4-0 win Saint John's Snod's Edge and Stockton Baptist Tabernacle also new to the league played each other. Saint Johns took a 3-0 lead from Ray Wilkinson, Jeff Wilson and Keith Purvis. In the second Half Stockton responded with goals from Austin Laidlaw and John Iley but not enough as Saint John's won 3-2. Saint Aidens Chapel Castington got back to winning ways after a midweek defeat. Chris Orr put Saints ahead with Scott Martin equalising for Jesmond Parish Corinthians. Steve Young notching the winner.

With the first half a stalemate Bethany Christian Centre rattled in three quick goals midway through the second half at Heaton Hearts from Phil Rumbles and two from Craig Richardson. Heaton hit back with Ramana K and Danny Harrison making the score 3-2 before Richardson completed his hat-trick.
