FORMER pilots and fellow members of ex-servicemen and women's associations will proudly join a parade to mark the key air campaign of the Second World War.
The annual Battle of Britain Service will be staged at Durham Cathedral on Sunday.
Members of Durham City Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) club will be taking part in the parade of colours on Palace Green, prior to the service, at 3pm. Club president, RAF Second World War volunteer Frederick Parker, 82, of Briardale, Durham, is among the guests joining civic dignitaries and ex-service officials at the service.
