A TEENAGER went to sleep in a four-poster bed with her boyfriend, but woke up having sex on the floor with a stranger, a court heard yesterday.
The girl said that she was fully clothed when she climbed into bed with her boyfriend after a party at a friend's house. Another girl got into the bottom of the bed but she left after Robert Lewis, 30, and another man entered the room arguing.
The 16-year-old said that she and her boyfriend fell asleep. But when she awoke she was on the floor with Lewis on top of her.
Teesside Crown Court heard that friends found the girl sobbing and shaking in the bedroom. She told them that Lewis had sex with her.
Prosecuting, Christine Egerton said that Lewis admitted having sex with the girl. He claimed she consented. A police surgeon said there was no medical evidence for or against rape.
Lewis, of Zetland Road, Stockton, pleaded not guilty to raping the girl on New Year's Day.
The case continues.
