A NORTH-EAST bus company is relaunching a discounted travel pass in an attempt to persuade more people to use public transport.
The relaunch of Go North East's Go'n'Save bus card, providing unlimited daily travel, coincides with a planned price revision.
The company, which operates more than 700 buses in the region, is launching the scheme with simple-to-read leaflets - explaining how the bus card works - going to thousands of homes.
The campaign will be backed by information at bus shelters and on the company's buses.
Company commercial director Martin Harris said: "Go North East's most popular Go'n'Save cards, the one-day under-16 concessionary and local cards, will not change in price.
"Prices on a seven-day bus cards will increase by 50p or £1, and 28-day bus cards by between £1 and £3."
