POMP and circumstance return to the banks of the Tyne with the second annual Proms in the Park event on Saturday.
Music North presents the concert at 7.30pm in Baltic Square, on the Gateshead side of the River Tyne, next to the Millennium Bridge.
There will be live video links to the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and Proms in the Park events in Belfast and London's Hyde Park.
Last Night favourites will include Jerusalem and a Pomp and Circumstance march, with much of the rest of the bill having an American flavour, including music by George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Aaron Copeland.
Tickets, at £15 from the box office, on 0191-443 4555, are for standing room only, although the venue is accessible to wheelchairs.
