Forensic tests are being carried out in a bid to establish how a 14-year-old boy died.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of computer loving Anthony Iverson. He was found dead at his Billingham home on Sunday morning.
An inquest into the youngster's death has been opened and adjourned pending further inquiries.
Anthony who celebrated his birthday only a couple of weeks ago, lived with his mum, Pauline and 18-year-old sister Mandy at Allington Drive, Billingham.
The teenager was a pupil at the town's Northfield School where special assemblies have been held.
Headmaster David Youldon said: "His death is a loss to his family and to his school."
