JENNY the Jack Russell-Yorkshire Terrier-cross has won the hearts of dog lovers in Weardale as she takes on her new role as an animal sanctuary mascot.
The six-month old puppy became a star attraction at Weardale Animal Sanctuary, in Stanhope, after she was rejected by three previous prospective owners.
New owner Sally Rowley said Jenny won her over with her sad eyes and became her constant companion at local fundraising events.
She said: "Everybody loves her. She has such a lovely face."
The sanctuary raised £124.13 from a tombola at St John's Chapel Dog Show. Jenny was on winning form, taking the title of prettiest bitch and the dog that the judge would most like to take home. She also finished runner-up in the non-pedigree bitch section.
