A TOWN'S MP has sent a message to young people disappointed by their GCSE results.
Vera Baird QC, MP for Redcar said youngsters should not despair and can get back on track at Redcar and Cleveland College.
She said: "My brother left school with no qualifications but after going to further education college and catching up he got a good job with the local bus company.
"Redcar and Cleveland College offer many possibilities for people wanting to give themselves a second chance and get the qualifications that are valued by national and local employers.
"Unemployment has come down in recent years so there are more jobs, but it is important to get the right training and you can get this at Redcar and Cleveland College."
